IT was fourth time lucky for Bolton's rising talent, Peter Kay, who burst onto the comedy scene this week when he scooped a top award just 12 months after his first public performance.
Peter, of Croston Street, Daubhill, had performed only three times before wowing audiences and judges at the City Life North -west Comedian of the Year contest, beating nine other comics from across the region.
The former pupil at Mount St Joseph school is still reeling from his incredible achievement and the offers are beginning to pour in.
Anyone wanting to sample Peter's comedy genius can catch him at the Boardwalk in Manchester on Sunday and at the Rubber Chicken Comedy Club at Blakey's in King George's Hall, Blackburn, next Wednesday.
