BOLTON based Yates Brothers is celebrating the production of its five millionth bottle of its distinctive Original Australian White Wine, better known as Aussie White.
It means that in the UK nearly 2000 bottles of the popular combination of Australian white wine and grape brandy have been drunk every day since its launch in 1989.
And on the day the five millionth bottle rolled off the production line, Roy Martin of Parfetts Cash and Carry was on hand to receive a special gold bottle to commemorate the occasion.
Yates's National Account Manager, Peter Byrne who presented the award to Roy said: "We are delighted to be able to present this award to Roy. He is one of our longest standing customers and hopefully he'll still be with us when we celebrate the 10 millionth bottle."
