BOLTON health bosses have launched a determined bid to improve care for the ethnic community.
The move has come with the launch of the Ethnic Minority Health Forum which aims to target the health needs of Bolton's ethnic groups.
The official launch, attended by more than 100 people, was undertaken by the Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Eric and Ida Johnson, and the chairman of Wigan and Bolton Health Authority, Lene Pickford.
Farouk Kala, newly-elected chairman of the forum, said: "It is an opportunity for the community to have their say and work alongside the health authority to meet the needs of the different communities in Bolton. "We look forward to reaching more people in the community and building good working relationships with our colleagues in health in the future."
More information about the forum can be obtained from Sheela Vara at the Community Health Council's offices, St Peter's House, Bolton, tel 01204-377024.
