SIR: I agree with the views expressed by Marjorie Armstrong in Friday's BEN. It would seem that money rules everything these days.
Not wishing to rake up the past (although I,too, feel that Wanderers supporters should have been consulted about the move to another town!), I think that the suggestion put forward by M.A. regarding the name of the new stadium - ie the 'Lofthouse Stadium' - does at least provide a link with the club's illustrious past. It serves as a tribute to a very famous footballer, whose name will forever be associated with Bolton.
If, however, this is not possible, I would suggest naming one of the stands the 'Nat Lofthouse Stand'. Here's hoping!!
