A TRAILER containing about £13,000 worth of goods was stolen in a late night raid on catalogue company GUS at the weekend.
Two security men manning the transport yard off Worsley Road, Eccles, were sprayed in the eyes with a stinging substance and bundled into a locked container by the three raiders.
The robbers then made off with an articulated unit and trailer, containing shoes and clothes.
The robbery happened at 9.15pm, Saturday evening, and the following day the articulated unit, minus the trailer, was discovered by Cheshire police.
Police are appealing to anyone who can help track the raiders down to contact Eccles CID on 0161 872 5050.
The theft is being linked to a similar incident, when raiders broke into Brierleys Haulage Company in Pendlebury last week. On that occasion, the robbers failed to start the vehicle.
The men are described as white, about six foot tall and in their 20s.
