TOURISTS visiting Tenerife are being urged to help with investigations into the death of Bolton man Michael Hulse. And a judge on the island is expected to decide soon whether an international warrant should be issued for the arrest of two Bolton men who left the island during the investigation.

The new appeal for information is made in 'Island Connections' , the Canary Islands' English newspaper, which also highlights Bolton Evening News reports into Michael's death and the inquest that was held in Bolton last week.

As reported in the BEN, a verdict of "unlawful killing" was recorded at last week's inquest on 37-year-old Mr Hulse.

The inquest heard Mr Hulse, of Darcy Lever, died from severe head injuries. And it was alleged that the injuries were the result of a vicious attack by two Bolton men who were on holiday on the island at the time.

Mr Hulse died in Candelaria Hospital on April 29.

The two accused were arrested, but they were not remanded in custody although their passports were held and they were told to report to the local court twice a month until a judge had examined the evidence.

On Saturday the BEN revealed how both were believed to have fled Tenerife and returned to Britain using false passports. One of the men was arrested at Margate on August 1 and is now serving a four month jail sentence for entering the country with a false passport.

The island newspaper reports that the two men have not reported to the local court since May 1. It says the judge will decide whether international warrants should be issued for their arrests but the process could take years.
