LEIGH RL fund-raisers are doing their bit to help the town keep its famous street....barn-storming prop forward Tim Street!
To help the second division club keep Street at Hilton Park an appeal has been launched to raise the necessary cash to help complete the deal.
Leigh's Lifeline Committee is organising the fund-raising with all money collected from fans being kept in a reserve bank account that will only be accessible to pay toward's Street's transfer fee.
"Our gates last season averaged around 1000. If each of those people could raise at least £10 then we would be a considerable way to meeting Hull's asking price;" says a Lifeline Committee spokesman.
"If any business wishes to make larger donations, a generous package deal can be arranged."
All donations can be made to the Lifeline office at Hilton Park, telephone 01942-768861.
