IN the Manchester County Cup the Under-11s flew the Bolton flag high when they progressed through to the next round of the competition with a hard fought 2-0 away victory against a strong Chadderton Park FC with a goal each coming for both Matthew Walsh and Tom Aspinall.
In the Under-12s Walshaw Sports won a high scoring game 9-4 at home to Whithins FC Bromley Cross also won easily at home against a very under strength St Elizabeths thanks mainly to a hat-trick from Thomas.
Lancashire Bolton Lads Clubs also had an emphatic victory away at Oxford Grove 9-1 with a hat-trick for Simon Whalley and Astley Bridge won at home 3-1 to Westhoughton Rangers.
In the Under-13s Farnworth Boys won 6-3 at home against Bromley Cross. The top goalscoring fete must go to Russell Hodgkinson of Leigh RMI who scored eight of his sides goals in the destruction of Castle Hill 13-0.
In the U12s AFC Elton overwhelmed Hindley Juniors with Gareth Cunniff scoring seven of his sides goals closely followed by Neil Smith with four.
In the U14s Bolton Lads Club combined their good start to the season when they won away 6-0 at Westhoughton Rangers Lee Shiutto bagging (4) of his sides goals.
In the U15s B the all Westhoughton game between Westhoughton Rangers A and B sides finished with the A beam winning 8-0. A hattricks for Hodgson.
In the U16s Youth section Bromley Cross had their first win of the season when they won 3-1 away to Walshaw Sports with a brace for Peter Woodcock. AFC Bolton had a close fought out 2-1 away victory at highly rated Boundary Park Juniors.
In the Under-18s there was a close fought local derby between Atherton Colls and Daisy Hill in which Colls just scraped home 2-1. Rossendale Valley won 7-1 at home against Farnworth Boys with a hat-trick for Daniel Clonley and
Bromley Cross won 5-2 at home against Dobbies thanks to a hat-trick from Paul Gallagher.
