BOLTON Business School, which is part of Bolton Institute, is celebrating the success of its Masters in Business Administration course.

Recently 48 students were awarded the MBA - the highest number in one year so far, reflecting the growing reputation of the course.

Students come from a variety of organisations including multi-national companies, the health service, the police and local government.

A spokesman said part-time MBA courses usually attracted local students but the Bolton course was attracting an increasing number of students from further afield. One of this year's successful students is a manager on the London Underground.

Frank Dawes, Head of Management Development at Bolton Institute, said: "We are absolutely delighted by this year's results which are a tribute to the commitment both of staff and students to this demanding course."
