SIR: Each new dawn brings forth more change in Labour Party policy, the most recent being they should delete the word Socialism from the agenda of the Labour Party.

I should imagine this is being done without the consent of the vast majority of party members, many of whom have given a life-time service to the Socialist cause.

Tony Blair and the rest of his cabinet now stand above and outside the party, a mistake made by Mr Ramsey MacDonald who led the party without meticulous regard to the views of ordinary members and those who voted for his party.

It now becomes quite obvious that a Tory Trojan horse exists within the parliamentary Labour Party and the Tories have now taken control of the party, hence the destruction of Socialism by the leadership.

What a bunch of political chameleons they are! A few years ago at election time they were a pale shade of red, now they have become just as blue as the Tories, because they feel confident that people are so desperate to rid themselves of John Major and his free-market pals they will vote Labour, come what may.

From the age I could vote I have always voted Labour because I believed in Socialism.

Recently, I became a member of the Socialist Labour Party, a party that still believes in Socialism.
