TWO local women are celebrating 60 years of friendship.
Dorothy Frost and Eunice Turner, both 65, have shared growing up, jobs, marriages, and births over the years.
They say they have never had a cross word with each other since meeting as five-year-olds at Church Road primary school.
Dorothy, of Paderborn Court, Bolton, and Eunice, from Morar Drive, Breightmet, both left school at 14 and got jobs together at the Musgrove spinning mill in Chorley Old Road.
Eunice said: "The secret of our friendship is that although we see each other regularly we are not in each other's pockets. And we've never had a cross word in 60 years."
To celebrate their lengthy friendship, the pair have booked a short break in Blackpool.
"And we're not taking our families. That way we can have a laugh," said Dorothy.
