CALLS for tighter gun controls have been made by Bury people in a local poll carried out by the Labour party.
Labour candidate for Bury North, David Chaytor, has welcomed the poll, which claims to have attracted "unequivocal" support for a ban on handguns.
The local poll took in the views from 768 people in Bury who agreed that the Government must act to restrict gun ownership.
