STAFF and pupils from a Bolton nursery will be skipping lessons next week to pick up a special award for going top of the class.
The Susan Isaacs nursery school has been identified as one of the most successful schools in the region by Government inspectors.
They marked the overall performance of the nursery as excellent and ranked it amongst the best in the North-west.
Now Education and Employment Minister Lord Henley is set to mark the school's achievement by presenting staff and pupils with a certificate during a special ceremony in Manchester next week.
Mount St Joseph and Lowton High School are also on the list of 28 most successful schools to receive a certificates at the ceremony.
They were judged as two of the best "good and improving" schools in the area.
All 28 schools will send staff and a pupils to pick up their certificates from Lord Henley on Monday.
