LANCASHIRE Cricket Club is delighted with the success of its "Company Cashline" scheme launched in June last year. The 100th company to join was Litterick's Butchers of St Helens Road, Bolton. Mr David Litterick was treated to a meal at Old Trafford and he met Lancashire hero Jack Simmons, now a committee member.
Promotions Manager Gary Porter, who used to be with Bolton Wanderers, says his brainchild has been a real success since its introduction.
For £10 a week companies receive 100 numbers in the weekly Lancashire Line prize draw, a total of 80 tickets for county and Sunday matches, an invitation for two to attend a Company Day at Old Trafford, a signed Lancashire bat or team photograph and acknowledgement in the club newspaper and Sunday programme.
"It is creating a lot of good will between us and local companies and organisations," said Mr Porter.
He said companies were finding the ticket allocation a useful way of providing incentives to staff and that there was increasing interest from pubs and working men's clubs.
The Bolton area was well-represented in Lancashire's pioneering scheme.
