THE Bolton CAMRA Beer Festival is DEFINITELY coming back to town promising a host of ales next Spring.
As reported in Cheers, Bolton's Campaign For Real Ale team have been working hard to restore the popular event.
It stopped three years ago because of uncertainty over the future of its regular venue Silverwell Street Sports and Exhibition Centre.
And now delighted Bolton CAMRA secretary Richard Spedding has announced the date and venue for the huge beer celebration to re-launch.
The rejuvenated festival will run from Wednesday, March 29, until Saturday, April 1, next year at the new Excel Sports Centre based at Bolton College on Manchester Road.
Planning is already well underway - the festival logo will feature Bolton's famous elephant symbol and carry the slogan "It's Coming Home!".
But Mr Spedding added that he still needs to recruit staff to work during the festival. He said: "Staff have to be CAMRA members, so if you want to be involved and have been thinking of getting connected with CAMRA now is an ideal time to get in touch."
Funds raised during the festival will be donated to Bolton Hospice, as they were when the festival ran in Silverwell Street.
Mr Spedding can be contacted on Bolton 653924.
