SIR: On August 28, our son Nathan unexpectedly died at the tender age of four months, from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (cot death). As you could well imagine this was a very traumatic time for all our family.
He was a very healthy baby boy and his death was so meaningless. We never imagined that one of our children would die before us, and on top of all this we were left wondering where we would lay him to rest. The local cemeteries have had so much bad publicity caused by meaningless vandalism, we were frightened of putting him anywhere.
Our funeral director mentioned a new cemetery which had recently opened, called New Manchester Woodland Cemetery, on City Road, Ellenbrook, Worsley, which is where we laid Nathan to rest and we are so glad that he is there. There are 24 hour security cameras, so we can go to sleep at night knowing nobody will cause damage to his grave.
The staff there are so friendly they make you feel so special and nothing is too much trouble, which has really helped us through this traumatic time and we would like to thank them through this letter for giving us somewhere special to lay our baby to rest.
