A BOLTON man died in hospital after plunging from the roof of his conservatory at the weekend. Glazier George Bennison, 55, suffered horrific injuries when he slipped and fell 15ft from the roof at his detached home, Owens Villa, on Withins Lane, Breightmet. He was discovered in the garden at the rear of the house by Geoff Hulme, a friend who shares his home. He was rushed to Bolton General Hospital at 4pm on Saturday but died three hours later despite frantic efforts to save him. Mr Hulme was too upset to speak about the tragedy earlier today.
