THERE were bakers lined up alongside solicitors, and a team from the Inland Revenue following in the footsteps of a team from the BBC - Boddingtons Behind The Community.
In fact, all kinds of teams, from pubs, clubs, companies and corporations took part in the Krypton Factor Challenge over the famous assault course at Holcombe Moor over the weekend.
The purpose of the two-day event was to raise money for the Children's Hospitals Appeal (CHAT) which buys various important equipment for hospitals in the Manchester area, including Bolton. And it boosted the charity's funds by a remarkable £5,600.
A team from NatWest in Bolton did well, and so did Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, alias Bolton hairdresser and CHAT supporter Barbara Openshaw and friends.
And, while the sunshine smiled on the willing contestants on Saturday, the skies were greyer, the temperature colder and the odd shower came down on Sunday.
But this certainly didn't dampen the spirits of the contestants, who braved the assault course's many obstacles to finish in respectable times, or just finish!
Steve Watts from CHAT, who has spent months organising the event, said: "I'd like to thank everyone who took part or, like the TA, who helped to make it such a great event."
