SIR: I would like to bring to the attention of your readers that on October 30 there will be a meeting of VSO supporters at Brunel Gallery, School of Oriental & African Studies, Russell Square, London.

This event gives VSO the opportunity to report on their current activies around the world through the experiences of volunteers and staff. There will be contributions from Lord Carrington, President of VSO, the new Ambassador Richard Wilson, actor and comedian, Jack Mapanje, a distinguished Malawian poet and linguist and from the Volunteers and Field Staff.

VSO enables men and women to work alongside people in poorer countries in order to share skills, build capabilities and promote international understanding and action, in the pursuit of a more equitable world.
