A KNIFEMAN threatened a female shop assistant before escaping with cash last night.
The man burst into the Victoria Wine off-licence on Market Street, Little Lever , at about 9.55pm and pulled out a knife.
It was the latest in a string of raids on Victoria Wine shops in Greater Manchester in the past few weeks.
The assistant, aged 31, was forced to hand over a small amount of money from the till and the robber then ran off. The assistant was shocked but not hurt.
The robber was white, 6ft tall, wearing a baseball cap and grey coat with maroon trim.
