A DRUNKEN student has sparked a warning from a local college chief.
The culprit was suspended from Runshaw College for a week after being found drunk on the premises.
Now students at the Leyland tertiary college - which takes in hundreds of Chorley teenagers - have been told boozing will not be tolerated.
And police have been advised to check local pubs for under-age student drinkers.
Mike Edwards, a vice principal, told them in the weekly Student Bulletin newssheet: "Students need to be aware that drinking during lunchtime is totally unacceptable behaviour.
"Students must be in a state to conduct their studies throughout their day at college."
