TYLDESLEY RUFC's perfect start to the league season continued with another comprehensive victory to put them top.
Tyldesley's fourth successive league victory came against a Trafford MV side who could not cope with their power pack or the speed and guile of the backs.
Mark Swanton raced down field to score the first try which Tim Brown converted with ease. Swanton again touched down with Brown adding the extra points and then landing a long range penalty before a lapse of concentration allowed Trafford in for a try.
Tyldesley finished the half strongly and left wing Fraser MacIntosh outpaced the opposition to score with Brown adding the goal to put them 24-5 ahead at the break.
Trafford landed an early penalty but that was the end of their scoring.
Skipper Dave Sivill crossed for a try and the hard working Darren Edge powered his way over. Brown converted both and added another penalty for a perfect seven out of seven kicks before he left the field with a knee injury and replacement Steve Palin scored the final try with Sivill landing another long range kick to convert and leave the final score 48-8.
Tyldesley seconds' improved form was evident as they overcame Trafford MV 22-15 with tries from Rob Harrop, Dave Peet and Craig Pulman plus two conversions and a penalty from Graham Harrop.
Tyldesley thirds eased to a 25-6 victory over Trafford with tries from Pete Hully, Adam Featherston, Mark Dainty.
