TWO Bolton entertainers performed live on Stuart Hall's new TV series "Hall of Fame". George Burton and Gerald Carter gave knock-out performances when they appeared in the show, broadcast on the new Granada Plus cable and satellite channel.
The weekly show, filmed at the Granada Studio Tour's Hollywood Bowl, gives undiscovered talent the chance to perform before a live audience.
Coal merchant George Burton, of Heath Close, was spotted performing in a club as a comedian and singer, He now hopes to do more television work.
Gerald Carter has played the trumpet for 35 years and has worked with a host of celebrities, including Neil Sedaka, The Four Tops and Matt Monroe. By day, Gerald, of Lever Edge Lane, works as a trade counter manager.
