SIR: I wonder if you could please help me? I am trying to trace my cousin Marjorie who I last saw almost 60 years ago.
She was Marjorie Myers. Her mother died at her birth and she was brought up by her father, Albert, and his sister, Anne, and her husband, Jack Knox. I believe she married and became a teacher, but since her parents and mine have died we have lost contact completely.
I cannot remember what part of Bolton she lived in. My father took me to visit on a motor-bike.
I have tried several times to trace her. This is my last hope.
Our cousin, Hilda, in California would also like to hear from her.
Our grandfather lived in Barr Lane off Belmont Road. I was Christened at St Paul's, Astley Bridge and as a young child I never missed the sermons at Walmesley Church, even though I lived in Rochdale.
Mrs J Thomson.
