WIGAN Girls' Choir, with bright young voices from the Atherton, Hindley Green and Leigh areas among its ranks, is staging a Show Stoppers concert on Saturday, October 19.
They will perform songs from the musicals and other well-known tunes from around the world at the event in Trinity United Reformed Church in Wigan (starting 7.30pm).
The Wigan group has developed a nationwide reputation for quality over the last few years. Two years ago the girls were invited to sing at the Thousand Voices Concert at the Royal Albert Hall with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
Three of the girls are being groomed for success by the national choir. They are: Katy Howarth, aged 13, of Atherton, Laura Kilgannon, also 13, of Hindley Green and Michelle Foster, aged 15, of Golborne.
Musical Director for the Show Stoppers is Deborah Catterall. Anyone interested in their daughter auditioning for the choir should contact Deborah on 01942 255998.
