A BOLTON hotel is staging special open days this weekend after getting no response to adverts for six jobs.
The Beaumont Hotel, Beaumont Road, desperately needs a senior chef and two other chefs as well as restaurant, accounts and housekeeping staff.
But despite advertising for the jobs in the press, at job centres and agencies there has been no response.
The jobs have been created by an increase in business at the hotel and through people moving to larger hotels in the area and people forming their own businesses.
A spokesman for the hotel said: "For an area of unemployment and with Christmas approaching, do local people not wish to work or is it due to the adverse impressions of general hotel working conditions?"
The hotel has planned two open days on Sunday from 11am to 1pm and on Monday from 4pm to 6pm to promote work in hotels and restaurants.
The Beaumont currently has several long serving employees, one of which has recently celebrated 20 years service with a luncheon at the Waldorf Hotel in London.
