THERE was more than one eclipse over southern England last week as the WildCats were over the moon with their biggest win against the Solent Stars.
The Wildcats fought back from an early 10-2 lead deficit with the introduction of Richard Moses transforming the local team.
Two stunning Larry Spencer three-pointers cut the deficit until a rapid five point burst by Richard Moses gave the WildCats a 20-19 first quarter lead.
Seven misses out of 23 free-throws meant Bury and Bolton went into the locker room only leading 45-32 instead of the 20-point advantage that their second quarter display deserved.
Larry Spencer completed his hat-trick of 'threes' before Sean McKie became the game's brightest star turning in a crucial performance that guided the WildCats home and showing why a host of big city clubs are after his services as he sank shot after shot without missing.
With Chris McCormick matching his team-mate's accuracy the WildCats were able to move away from the pull of the Stars maintaining their double digit advantage and eventually taking the match 90-74.
On Saturday, (tip-Off 7.30pm) the WildCats will aim to dowse the flames of the Cardiff Phoenix at Bury's Castle Leisure Centre.
Bury and Bolton points' scorers Richard Moses 26; Sean McKie 16; Chris McCormick 16; Larry Spencer 15; Nigel Yates 8; Anthony Crow 7 and Stu Jackson 2.
