A TEAM of professional actors is adding a new element to local training programmes. PPS Training & Consultancy, a division of the Parr Group in Bark Street East, Bolton, has teamed-up with Performance Connection "to add quality and entertainment."
Performance Connection is a group of experienced role play actors headed by Clare Beck and Claire Webzell, who have professional careers in television, radio and theatre.
PPS say realistic role play provides a greater insight into relationships and people skills.
Candidates can practise a range of skills and techniques on realistic 'victims' and gain "constructive feedback so that course participants are saved from the usual fears, embarassment and fits of giggles associated with role play." A series of introductory workshops are being held in Bolton during the coming months.
They are aimed at developing a range of skills in working with and managing people.
These include interviewing, presentations, trainer skills and customer service for the 1990s.
PPS Director Lynn Clarke said: "Role play not only adds tremendous interest and entertainment to the delivery of our training, but also addresses individual learning styles."
