A SUCCESSOR has been found to the top Bolton business executive who resigned in mysterious circumstances recently.
Mr John Weir stepped down from his £35,000 a year job as general manager of Business Link Bolton and Bury last month.
Bosses at Bolton Bury Training and Enterprise Council and Mr Weir himself refused to give any reasons.
BBTEC chief executive Richard Bindless told staff yesterday that the job was to be filled by Mark Allanson, a senior BBTEC manager who is currently based at the Quest Centre in Halliwell, working with City Challenge. Mr Allanson is expected to start his new job early next month.
