SIR: After reading the feature 'Kill your speed' October 11, I recalled the advertisement campaign on TV, showing the poor children knocked down and killed, victims of selfishness.
Yes it could have been you, me, 'our' children maybe.
When seeing these campaigns, I say to myself, I'm going to kill my speed in future. But with the passage of time, not intentionally I might add, I get back into my old habits. I can hear many of your readers say 'me too'.
Perhaps with the permission of these poor children's parents we could devise some kind of permanent reminder such as a symbol with pictures of these children marked 'slow down'. Maybe this will go some way in preventing death of the roads.
