THERE is no point in making Bolton an attractive place to shop and visit if people do not know how to get here.
So we welcome the news that Bolton Council has won its battle to keep Bolton on one motorway map at least.
Bolton Council has been assured that our name will be put on the signs that were removed on the M6 and M61 when work was being carried out.
But there still seems to be a blind spot about signs on the M6 southbound approach to the M61. When the new M65 extension south of Blackburn is completed the approach will be signed Blackburn (M65).
And the motorists wanting to come to Bolton will be left in limbo.
That's not good enough for the drivers and it is not good enough for Bolton.
We hope the all-party delegation who will discuss the situation with the Roads Minister John Watts next month will convince him that Bolton must be on the signs.
