CRUEL thieves wiped out months of fundraising, when they snatched hundreds of pounds worth of garden furniture and tools from a Bolton home for disabled people.
The crooks snatched their haul from the garden at Hyde Lea on Sharples Park - a home for disabled people of all ages.
Eight chairs and two tables in green plastic were taken together with a selection of tools - all bought with money collected through a variety of fundraising events.
Mrs Sandra Badland, a member of the Management Committee of Hyde Lea, said: "It is sickening that anyone could do this to people less fortunate than themselves.
"We spent hundreds of pound making the garden nice for our residents to sit out in and now this has happened.
There is a high wall surrounding the garden, so someone has obviously gone to a lot of trouble to do this."
The theft has been reported to the police and anyone able to help track the stolen goods down is asked to contact Bolton police on 0161 872 5050.
