SIR: After a period in no-man's land as a so-called independent, in which situation he could not have possibly have been re-elected to parliament, Peter Thurnham has decided to throw in his lot with the Liberal Demlocrats where he will now, presumably, be sponsored as a candidate for a constituency where he will stand a better chance of being re-elected to parliament.
Let us face it, with this record there is only one party that Peter Thurnham can truly be said to represent; that is the PTP - The Peter Thurnham Party. Good luck to the LDs.
