RAIDERS used a car as a battering ram to force the security shutters at a cycle shop in Atherton earlier today.
The thieves then smashed the window at the premises of I&J motors, High Street, before stealing an LEM model CR2 bike, worth £800.
Damage to the premises has been estimated at more than £500. The car used by the thieves was later found abandoned nearby.
