PER Frandsen and Michael Johansen have had their international hopes boosted by Denmark boss Bo Johansson.
The national coach made a special flying visit to London on Saturday to see the Wanderers duo play at Charlton.
He had earlier ruled out any hope of seeing them play before he selects his squad for a friendly international against France in Copenhagen next month.
But he bowed to pressure from Burnden boss Colin Todd who recommended Frandsen for one of the central midfield positions after seeing the Danes beat Greece 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier.
Johansson, who had previously never seen a First Division game in England, checked in advance to make sure Frandsen and Johansen were playing before revising his scouting schedule.
Both figured prominently in the fighting comeback that saw Wanderers recover from a 3-1 half time deficit to earn a 3-3 draw.
Todd believes the Danish boss will have been impressed. "We'll have to wait and see but Per and Michael did well. At least they've had their chance to show their national manager what they can do."
