SIR: Recently it was Minds do Matter Week in Bolton. I should like to thank everyone who helped at all the events. Their efforts, no matter how great or small, are greatly appreciated, and ensured the success of the week.
I can assure your readers that 'drop-in' centres do work.
I had a nervous breakdown three years ago and, as a result of attending a 'drop-in', I received help and reassurance. I am now a more determined and confident person. In fact, I am on the management committee at two 'drop-ins' and a volunteer at a third. We at B.A.N.D. now help with the running of 11 centres throughout Bolton. The help is there if people want it.
