Eastwood Hanley 2 Ramsbottom United
RAMSBOTTOM United made the trip to Stoke-on-Trent to face Eastwood, a side well placed in Division One.
Steve Strange's powerful header from Mark Keegan's pin-point cross put United level after Eastwood had opened the scoring a minute earlier on 35 minutes.
Eastwood's winner was controversial to say the least, with striker John Sargeant admitting after the game that he put the ball over the line with both hands!
In the final 10 minutes the visitors looked for the equaliser with Russell Brierley and Steve Orrell going close.
The Staffordshire side hung on and were more than delighted at the final whistle.
