PENNINGTON Under 16s won through to a place in the third round of the Lancashire FA Under 16s Youth Cup with a 2-0 replay victory at home against Rossendale Valley.
Goals from B Gibbons and D Wilcock saw Brian Smith's side safely through to the next round.
In the Under 16s youth section there were high-scoring victories for both Bolton County and Leigh RMI. County won 9-2 away at Blackmoor HF thanks to four goals from ace goalscorer Ryan Cain, while Leigh RMI were too strong for Bolton Lads Club winning 8-2 away, with a brace apiece from Ben Robinson, D Bullough and G Lewis.
AFC Bolton also had an emphatic home victory over St Elizabeth's; winning 8-2 with a hat-trick for Neil Gregson. Bromley Cross and Astley Bridge shared the points in a hard fought 1-1 draw.
In the Under 18s Section B Blackmoor HF are the in form team with a 100 per cent record; their latest victory a 3-2 away win at Farnworth and Kearsley Boys. The goals were shared between J Freeborn, A Morris and C Walker with Sayers (2) replying for Farnworth/Kearsley AFC.
Bolton also had a close 3-2 win at home to Bromley Cross with A Baines scoring a hat-trick for his side.
In the Under 18s Section A Radcliffe Arms A picked up two points when they won 3-1 at home against Farnworth Boys A.
In the Under 15s section A Bolton Lads Club were among the goals away at Walshaw Sports, winning 6-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Carl Toladay.
In the B Section Blackmoor HF are the side they all need to catch as they won yet again. Their latest victory came at home 4-1 against Westhoughton Rangers B with goals from C Wood and A Greig. Westhoughton Rangers A team had a fine 6-0 away victory at Smithills and there were wins for AFC Bolton 5-2 away at Astley Bridge with a hat-trick for D Lloyd.
Ladybridge won a high scoring game at home against Horwich St Marys 5-4.
In the Under 14s section Bromley Cross won 8-0 away at Great Lever Boys with Tim Greensill scoring five goals for his side. Further strikes came from A Kelly, M Ajtar and an own goal.
In the Under 13s Colts Section there were high-scoring wins for Bromley Cross 9-2 at home to Breightmet Rovers with J Baldwin scoring four of his side's goals and Ladybridge Boys also had a fine 9-2 home win against Oxford Grove with hat-tricks for both S Hallen and A Costello on his debut for his team.
Bolton County won a close game 4-3 at home to Farnworth Boys with a brace from C Waddicar. Other goals were scored by M Joyce and C Naylor. Outstanding in goal for Bolton County was Richard Heathcoate.
In the Under 12s Junior Section AFC Bolton won a high scoring game 8-3 at home against Astley Bridge thanks to G Cunniff who scored no less than four of his side's goals. Bolton Lads Club won 6-1 at home against a poor looking Freestyle Rovers side with a brace each for R Pike and A Settle. Withins were too strong for St Elizabeth's when they won away 9-1 with hat-tricks for D Hill, M Hill and Sharples.
In the same section Bromley Cross won a close game 3-2 away at Westhoughton Rangers and Farnworth Boys and Walshaw Sports shared the points in a 3-3 draw.
In the Under 11s Cubs Section it is as you were at the top of the league with both AFC Bolton A and B teams both winning 4-1 at home to Waterfoot with goals shared by P Boardman, L Hanson, D McKay and T Aspinall. The B side won 9-0 at home against Farnworth Boys; A McClemence netting a hat-trick.
