BOLTON Catholic Musical and Choral Society present Annie Get Your Gun at the Albert Halls, Bolton, from October 28 to November 2, starting at 7.15 pm. Tickets from Ann Blackburn 01204 302602, or the Albert Halls ox Office.
While Susie Riley has been rehearsing the part of Annie, her father, Geoff, has been researching the life of the real Annie Oakley.
"I've found it really interesting and helpful to know that Annie, Buffalo Bill, Sitting Bull and Frank Butler were real people. Annie's marriage to Frank lasted 50 years", Susie said.
"It's always sad when a show closes, but the day after we close is the anniversary of Annie's death, which will be very depressing."
Adrian Pollitt plays Frank Butler. He is well known to Bolton audiences, having taken a wide variety of leading parts, from Judas in the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar and Gabriel in Die Fledermaus.
