BOLTON Hospice is on a paperchase - with life-saving cash at the end of it.
They are running a home or office collection service for large amounts of wastepaper in order to boost funds and offset the £70 an hour running costs of the hospice.
Fund-raising director Bernard Rhead is asking local companies and householders to turn to the hospice for paper collection, rather than throw it away or pay to have it removed.
The hospice supplies cardboard containers and plastic bags - with special red bags for confidential company wastepaper - for the regular weekly or fortnightly collection.
"They system is very easy," explained Bernard.
"Just pick up a phone and dial 01204 520040 and ask for me or Debra. We are still very grateful to all the individuals who regularly come to the hospice skip to bring their old newspapers and magazines."
