SIR: Following your recent feature on Devonshire Road CP School published on Friday October 11, 1996, I am writing to thank you for the positive image you portrayed of a busy environment full of happy, hardworking children and staff.
I must add, however, that a reference to the building itself was misinterpreted. The "open air" aspect of the school referred to the physical nature of the building, it being built around an open quad with walkways providing access to the classrooms. There was no reference intended to the school being a place for "delicate" children.
I hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

Head Teacher, Devonshire Road CP School
