SIR: I am dismayed beyond belief. The reason is the article in local news page 12 of the Bolton Evening News Friday October 18 in which it indicates that Stocks Park School will now be called, wait for it, Lever Park School.
Which idiot or idiots (could it be a committee) thought this one up?
Lever Park is approximately one and a quarter miles from Stocks Park. There will be total confusion. Why not keep it as Stocks Park School for it is already on Stocks Park or are they moving it to Lever Park - the school that is.
Your article on page five of the above mentioned BEN indicates a shocking decline in teaching standards in Bolton schools. Can I suggest there is also a shocking decline in Geography as well.
