A CHARITY which gives disabled people in Bolton the chance to watch live sport has been given a big cash boost.
Turton Rotary Club presented a cheque for £550 to the Michael Williams Trust at Burnden Park.
The trust was set up in memory of former Edgworth sportsman Michael Williams, who died aged 24 in a holiday accident in Spain in 1994.
Because he loved sport so much the trust was set up to give people who do not normally get the chance an opportunity to enjoy sporting events.
Already the trust operates a scheme taking disabled people to Wanderers home games and a similar scheme at Wigan Rugby League.
Turton Rotary's donation was raised by a big duck race on Bradshaw Brook.
The trust can be contacted on Bolton 523719.
