ALAN Thompson has delivered a polite snub to his Premiership admirers by insisting: "I am going nowhere."
But the Wanderers' midfield ace admits to being flattered by speculation linking him with top flight teams.
"It's good for confidence," says Thompson, whose name has been bracketed with Nottingham Forest and Sunderland.
"You don't turn a blind eye to it because it's always nice when you get linked with Premiership clubs."
But the former Young England international sees no reason to look any further than the speculation.
He says: "I've got two years still to run on my contract here and the gaffer's got no reason to sell me or anyone else with the team doing so well.
"I'm not going anywhere at the moment."
Thompson, who admits he didn't do himself justice last season despite injury problems, remains ambitious to play in the Premiership but says he's hoping to book his ticket with Wanderers. "I'd love to get a Championship medal this season," he says.
