BARNSLEY boss Danny Wilson has pinpointed Nathan Blake as the dangerman as his side aim to cut Wanderers' lead at the top of Division One at Oakwell tonight.
Top scorer Blake has been in prolific form as the Burnden stars have opened up a three-point advantage over Norwich and an eight-point lead over third-placed Barnsley.
Wilson saw the Welshman take his season's total to 11 with the Coca-Cola Cup winner against Chelsea on Tuesday and says: "Nathan is a very good player. He's very strong, very powerful and on his day is as good as anyone you will see around.
"He has lacked consistency in recent seasons, but he seems to have sorted that out and will be a real influence if Bolton make a push to get back in the Premiership."
Wilson's men go into the game desperate to get back on the winning track. They hold a one-game advantage over Wanderers and Norwich but have taken just seven points from their last seven games to take some of the shine off a bright start to the season.
The Oakwell boss believes Colin Todd's men will travel to South Yorkshire in a positive frame of mind and hopes that his side will be able to take advantage.
He added: "Colin Todd doesn't go into games to defend. He will be looking to win the game and if he can't win it then he will be looking to make sure Bolton don't lose.
"I think they will come out and play. They have a lot of quality, but so have we.
"We're at home, while they will be trying to cement their place at the top of the table. I think it's going to be a cracking game."
Wilson expects to field the same line-up that drew with Yorkshire rivals Bradford last week, while Todd sticks by the same side that beat Chelsea.
That means 10-goal John McGinlay - also a scorer against the Londoners in midweek - will once again partner Blake as Wanderers look to continue along the lines that have made them the leading goalscorers in the country with 36 goals in 16 league and cup outings.
Todd is determined to keep his players focused. "The league is our priority," he insists. "A cup run is just a bonus.
"We are up there because of the hard work and quality we have shown so far and we are striving to stay there. But we've got to keep applying ourselves."
