WE hope that all bingo players heed the advice from Bolton solicitor Toby Williamson.
Commenting after the case in which his client, Ken Jones, failed in his attempt to sue his former bingo partner for a share of a £5,333 bingo prize, Mr Willamson warned anyone who hoped to share winnings to get either a written agreement or ensure there were witnesses to a verbal agreement.
In this case the court ruled there was not enough clear evidence of an agreement which would cover such a large amount.
Mr Willamson's advice is well worth taking.
