THE horrifying description by Bolton man Paul Lacey of the way some children are treated in Romania makes sickening reading.
Vulnerable children are picked up and abused by paedophiles who visit Romani to take advantage of the situation, Paul says. And he believes many of the paedophiles are English.
The question which Paul asks cries out for an answer. What are the various charities who are working in Romania doing to help?
It may be that some are trying to address the situation. But from what Paul says they are not doing enough.
Few who read Paul's account of the way small children are treated in Romania will fail to be moved. Let's hope that those who have some influence there will be made aware of what Paul has seen.
