A JAPANESE company is to establish a technical centre at Runcorn. Fukae Powtec Corporation, which is part of the Moriishi group, has worked on the move with regional development agency INWARD and partners for the last two years.
The company manufactures a range of mixing, drying and granulating equipment for use in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The Runcorn centre will concentrate on pharmaceutical equipment and will serve as a UK and European base for customers to test-run this machinery with their own product before purchase. It will create 10 jobs with opportunities for high-quality engineering graduates.
