Radcliffe Boro 1, Whiteley Bay 2 SECOND placed Radcliffe Boro's hopes of catching UniBond first division leaders Lincoln United received a double blow.
Kevin Glendon's side went down 2-1 at home to Whitley Bay despite dominating the game for long periods. This slip up was compounded when the division's top side won 1-0 at bottom club Warrington Town, widening the cushion at the top to a massive 10 points.
Boro can take a little consolation from having played one games less.
Whitley took a fifth minute lead when Andy Bowler smacked in a penalty after Jason Ashley had been adjudged to have tripped Renforth.
Top Stainton Park scorer, Ian Lunt, took his total for the season to nine, coincidentally, in the ninth minute, when he was well set up by Joe Connor.
With just eight minutes remaining glaring misses by McRae, Farrelly and Lunt were made to prove even more costly when Glen Renford gave the well-organised visitors all three points.
