More pressure led to Sivill crashing over under the posts, Brown adding the conversion.
Tyldesley seconds also met a strong Altrincham side but in a game of thrilling rugby came out on top by 27-5. The visitors parade two newly arrived New Zealanders from Waikato but despite their obvious talent they had no answer to an excellent all round performance from Tyldesley.
Loose forward Craig Pulman scored a try and both props James O'Connor and Howard Hampson also scored one each. The rest of the Tyldesley points came from
Scrum-Half Ian Worsfold who help himself to a try, a penalty and two conversions.
Tyldesley thirds ended Altrincham thirds run of seven wins on the trot with a hard earned 15-8 victory.
